Getting A Library Card:
Library cards are issued free to all residents of Montville Township. To apply, please bring your New Jersey driverís license. If this is not possible, a current (within the past few months) utility bill or a current tax bill will be accepted. A current passport will be accepted if a New Jersey driver's license or bill is not available.
Children can obtain cards at age six (6). A parent or guardian must be present and show a valid form of identification. Parents are responsible for any materials checked out by their children.
Your library card must be presented every time you check out library materials. Your library card can be used at any library in Morris County. Replacement fee for a card is $3.00 for an adult and $1.00 for children.
Magazines, DVDs, videos and encyclopedias = 7-day loan
Books, books on tape, CDs = 21-day loan
All new fiction, adult nonfiction, picturebooks, CD books, playaways, music CDs = 14-day loan (items are considered "new" for 6 months)
All materials owned by the Montville Twonship Public Library may be renewed twice, unless someone else has placed a hold on the item or the item is overdue.
Some media, such as DVDs, cannot be renewed online and must be renewed over the phone (please call the Circulation Desk at 973-402-0900 ext. 241).
Audiovisual materials may be returned at any library in Morris County.
