EBSCO
  • Over 3,000 magazines, many full-text.  Many as far back as 1975 (good for historical events)
  • Includes health, business and children's databases and in-depth records for selected businesses.  Animals: nature and habitat.
  • Information from many reference books, including American Heritage Dictionary and World Almanac. Also, biographies, primary source documents, photos, maps, flags.
  • Full text is available for 28 national (U.S.) and international newspapers and 200 regional (metropolitan & rural) newspapers: see Newspaper Source (on the screen listing individual databases)  This also includes TV and radio news transcripts.
  • Can browse table  of contents of actual issues and  then select the full-text articles.
  • Updated daily.
  • Articles can be emailed to yourself or friends.

Academic Search Premier (EBSCO)
  • Especially for college students. Very large scholarly, multi-disciplinary full text database. Index & abstract for over 8,000 journals; full text for 4,500, most of which are peer-reviewed. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further for over 100 journals.

    How to Access:

    1. Click on “Academic Search Premier, above, to access JerseyClicks.org.
    2. Click on “Custom Search.”
    3. Type your library card number. Click on “Go.”
    4. Scroll down to bottom of screen to select “Clear Checkmarks.”
    5. Scroll up to “General” on left side.
    6. Select “Academic Search Premier.”
    7. Input search terms at top of screen.
