It’s been 70 years, but Marsha Kruezman still remembers laying outside the steps of a Nazi crematorium wishing she could die – when an American soldier picked her up and brought her to safety. She spent decades trying to find the soldiers who liberated the camp, until a chance meeting a few months ago brought an end to her search. Join us as Marsha shares her story of life, death & hope. May 15th - “Classical Music Through the Ages”
Jessica will take you on a journey through Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary music. At the end of each section students will “name that tune” and will discover that they know more than they think!
May 22nd – “I Hear a Symphony!”
You love going to concerts but have no idea what is going on. Or maybe you know the music basics but would like to expand your knowledge. In this class, Jessica will teach you how to follow and understand classical music. Learn about the different sections of the orchestra and how a Symphony is structured; what a “movement” is; and how to really FEEL the music! We will analyze a famous Symphony by listening and discussing a recording.
Advance registration is required due to the popularity of this lecture series. Lectures will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. Late arrivals may not be admitted. Registration required. Space is limited.

Come hear about her journey from Size 22 to that elusive Size 2. Author Diana Karmin’s new book documents her lifelong struggles with weight and her disillusionment with the diet industry. Diana shares her story, gives some heartfelt advice and a “Whole Lotta Snark”. Diana lives in Westfield with her husband and children. Registration suggested.
