Borrowing Digital Audiobooks, EBooks and Ezines
You can download digital audiobooks, ebooks and ezines to your own computer or portable edevice through Digital Library NJ and Zinio. All you need is your library card number and PIN.
An eBook is a digital copy of a book, magazine or graphic novel that can be read on a computer or portable device (phone, mp3 player, etc.). An audiobook is a recoding of a narrator or several actors reading a book that can be listened to on a computer or portable device. An ezine is an electronic version of a magazine.
Step 1: Search for a title in the search box or browse the collections (in the right-hand column).
Step 2: Once you have found a title you would like to check out, click on the "add to cart" link. Your cart will list the available titles you have selected, along with information about their lending periods and their compatible devices. Please do not check out more than five (5) titles at a time.
Note: ListenNJNW.com has a limited number of digital copies of each title; you may need to place a hold on a popular item to have your name added to the waiting list. You will receive an email when the item is available for checkout.
Step 3: Click on the "Proceed to Checkout" link when you have finished selecting titles. This will take you to a login page: select "M.A.I.N. (Morris Automated Information Network)" as your library and enter your library card number (the number below the barcode on the back of your library card, with or without the spaces) and your library card PIN number.
Step 4: Once you have confirmed your lending period for each title, click the "Confirm check out" button.
Step 5: Download your title and any software required to use it.
Note: You will only need to download the software once (Adobe Digital Editions for Adobe EPUB eBooks, OverDrive Media Console and Windows Media Player for WMA and MP3 Audiobooks, and the software for your particular device).
When you reach the end of your lending period, titles will automatically disappear from your account, computer and/or device. If you have further questions, please take a look at this online video tutorial, visit ListenNJNW.com's Help Page or call us at 973-402-0900.
